Investing in Your Health and Your Life
What You Need To Know About Investing In Our Program
Q: Why don’t you have pricing on your website?
A: Cōpare is not an off-the-shelf, one-size-fits-all program. We customize our service to you. While our pricing is structured, your individual price can only be determined by your goals and health needs we identify during your initial consultation and body composition analysis session.
Q: How do I know Cōpare will be worth it?
A: Buying and maintaining a Mercedes or BMW is expensive — but those are luxuries. Buying a Chanel purse is expensive — but that’s a luxury. Unlike the things we buy for enjoyment, some expenses provide life-long and life-saving benefits. For example: education, smart financial planning, and health. Reclaiming and maintaining your health is not a luxury. It’s an investment in you, your future, and your family; so that you can be present for your kids, your partner, your community.
At Cōpare, we believe in you, we believe in your potential, and we believe in helping you achieve not just adequate health, but a truly vibrant and active life. Our singular business objective is to educate and support every person — like you — who aspires to reach their optimal health and weight. We believe good health is priceless. Investing in your health today will pay dividends for years to come.
Q: Why is Cōpare so expensive?
A: Cōpare is the one program on the market that provides a truly comprehensive and science-based approach to weight loss and health. Our program is built on four key elements:
- People: We use the best people — certified nutritionists, registered dietitians, health professionals, and certified health coaches — to work one on one with you to meet your goals.
- Personalization: We personalize and customize all of our programs to you, because you are unique. Just as no two Cōpare clients are alike, no two Cōpare programs are alike. Your investment is dependent upon your particular health history, body composition, and individual needs.
- Education: We teach you about the science of nutrition and how to use the right nutrients at the right times to fuel your weight loss and achieve your health goals.
- Maintenance: Once you reach the goals we agreed upon during your initial body composition analysis session, you will have access to our health coaching for life.
Q: Why is Cōpare’s pricing structured the way it is?
A: Because our quality and our forever commitment to you are unparalleled. We developed a unique — and uniquely effective — program including specially formulated nutrition products to help you get healthy and stay healthy for the rest of your life. Cōpare ‘s nutrition products are consumed in combination with your food and are based on a macronutrient profile that will help you lose weight, specifically body fat. When you reach your goals, your health coach will provide you with a new macronutrient profile, meal plans and guidance that will include only your foods.
Once you graduate from our program, we will also provide you with lifelong coaching to give you all the expert nutrition advice and support you need to reach and maintain your weight-loss and health goals. No fads. No gimmicks. No yo-yo dieting. Just science-based nutrition education and guidance, anytime you need it, for the rest of your life.
Q: So, I actually get help for the rest of my life — at no extra cost?
A: Yes. The investment you’re making in your health through Cōpare includes a coach for life. When you graduate from Cōpare, you can come in forever for no additional investment to meet with a coach to help you maintain your weight loss and, more importantly, keep improving your body composition.
Q: What goes into Cōpare’s pricing?
A: There are three basic components of our pricing: food, coaching and a weekly body composition analysis. Our biggest investment is in our people — the professionals who coach and guide you through the science of nutrition and the physiology of healthy weight attainment. The services we offer are more comparable to hiring a nutritionist or registered dietician.
Q: How does the cost of Cōpare compare to other weight-loss programs?
A: On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), Cōpare is a 7 or 8. However, others do not offer lifetime maintenance and coaching.
Q: Do you have financing and monthly payment plans?
A: Yes, we offer the Care Credit Health Card to help finance your investment at 0% for 12 months (credit approval required).
Q: What if I don’t want to eat your food, can I reduce my cost?
A: Accountability, support, weekly coaching and weekly body composition analysis are the most valuable parts of our program. While we do provide some food, we are not a food program. If for any reason you choose not to consume our food you will still experience the most important part of our program — working with our professionals who will coach, guide, and help you attain a healthy weight.
Q: Can I use my Flex Spending account?
Yes! Many of our clients use their Flex Spending accounts as well as their HSA. Funds from an FSA or HSA are a great option and can help cover the costs of your Cōpare program. In some cases, you may need approval from your insurance company to have the expense covered. In this case, a physician may have to prescribe weight loss as a treatment for obesity-related diseases such as diabetes, for example. Please contact your provider for more details.
Q: Why are you charging me a fee to learn more about your program?
A: The consultation fee holds the appointment for you. You will also receive a printout of your body composition report. This report is highly informative as it provides you with a “screenshot” of your health. Additionally, you will spend valuable time with a very knowledgeable consultant who will provide you with a detailed interpretation of your body composition results. The consultant will then identify the appropriate and healthy range goals for your individual body composition. Many hospitals, gyms and recreation centers will charge over $100 for a body composition.
Q: Can I write off my Cōpare investment as a medical expense on my taxes?
A: To be considered a medical expense, a physician must prescribe weight loss to treat a specific disease, such as diabetes for example. You can deduct medical expenses if the weight-loss program equals more than 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. Q: Can I buy a shorter program to see if it works, before investing in a longer program?
A: After an in-depth evaluation, we let you know the estimated number of weeks it will take to meet your health goals. We offer three levels — 20+ weeks, 10–19 weeks, and 9 or fewer weeks — to provide you with maximum flexibility and effectiveness. While you can sign on for a shorter period, you’ll get the best results when you sign up for the proper number of weeks to meet your weight-loss goals. Bottom line: We prioritize your long-term health, not selling programs.
Q: Does Cōpare offer “scholarships” for low-income people fighting obesity and diabetes?
A: On some occasions, we have offered such clients lower prices. We do not have a scholarship program per se, and our special pricing is handled on a case-by-case basis for qualified clients.
Q: Can Cōpare help me avoid or reduce other medical costs?
A: The costs of not being healthy can be enormous — not only in dollars but in years off your life and time missed with your family. Think of the medication required to lower your blood pressure, reduce your cholesterol or manage your diabetes. Imagine the memories you could have had with your kids and grandkids, and the memories of you that they could have forever.
Type 2 diabetes brings the need for insulin — at an average cost of $450 per month — as well as the costs of doctor’s visits, lab work, and supplies such as test strips. According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), average medical expenditures for people with diagnosed diabetes were about $13,700 per year.
