Experience Without Reflection
My name is Tsolote and I am a health coach in the Cōpare Alexandria location. With a Masters in Public Health, I am intrigued by the current climate and am especially interested in how mindset and emotions can affect outcomes. This post on LinkedIn resonated with me. I hope it will with you as well.
During these unusual times and what seems like a sudden pause to ‘normal’ life, self-awareness and reflection is key for growth and learning once we get to the other side of the current health crisis. As we adjust to our new normal and experience the ups and downs brought on by this pandemic, let’s take a moment to reflect on our current mental state. The diagram below looks at three different zones of mindsets: fear, learning and growth. Take a look at the diagram and identify your current mindset. There is no right or wrong way to feel. Our emotions are there for a reason and they help us identify underlying thought patterns. However, what we do have control over are our actions. The goal as you read through the diagram is to identify opportunities for growth and take actions that bring out the best in you.
